Our facilities in Morgan City, LA specialize in the construction of
new boats and barges as well as liftboats, offshore and inland vessels,
steel fabrication and modular construction.
NEW CONSTRUCTION FACILITIES AND SERVICES
New construction is conducted indoors in (6) buildings totaling 115,500 sq./ft. They measure:
- 360' long x 100' wide fabrication building
- 300' long x 100' wide fabrication building
- 200' long x 80' wide fabrication building
- 151' long x 65' wide equipment and storage building
- 150' long x 50' wide machine shop and training building
- 120' long x 40' wide carpenter shop
- Overhead cranes: (3) 15-ton, (3) 10-ton and (2) 5-ton
- 160' x 50' x 10' 6" (1000-ton) launch barge
- State of the art semi-automatic Intershield and SAW welding
equipment
- Over one hundred welding machines of various types are in use as
well as special tools for greater efficiency.
- In-house computer-aided design (CAD) services are available with
resident engineers and naval architects to meet customer design
requ
 irements. In addition, we provide complete design and engineering
services, CAD/CAM services, 3-D NC lofting technology and plasma cutting.
- Water Access: the Atchafalaya River is approximately 2,000 feet
wide and some 45 feet deep in the channel, with a depth of 25 feet
maintained along the waterfront.
