Our facilities in Morgan City, LA specialize in offshore and inland
vessel and barge repairs. Conrad Industries, Inc. has been in continuous
operation since 1948. We offer these services 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. We provide competitive bidding and performance bonds upon request.
REPAIR FACILITIES AND SERVICES
Our dock frontage repair facility has 11 acres with over 2,000 ft. of
bulkhead water front and features
Two (2) dredged basins measuring 320'x100' and 220'x80' which are
used for dockside repairs as well as loading and unloading cargo.
Servicing the boat and barge repairs are:
Two (2) 120'x52' (900-ton) floating drydocks
Cranes: (3) crawler type cranes rated at 40, 75 and 110-ton
capacity, (1) 8-ton yard crane
Heavy Equipment: (2) cherry-pickers rated at 20 and 15-ton
capacity, (2) cherry-pickers rated at 30-ton capacity, (3) 68' and (2) 33'
manlifts, (3) 20' scissor lifts and (1) 10,000# forklift and (1) 8,000#
forklift on pneumatic tires. Heavy lift equipment is readily available.
Services for propeller reconditioning, machine work, electrical,
carpentry and others are provided
Seven (7) sand hoppers are located near the drydocks, one (1)
80,000#, two (2) 68,000#, three (3) 52,000# and one (1) 40,000#. The
compressed air system provides 5,900 CFM which is piped throughout the
shipyard.
Water Access: The Atchafalaya River is approximately 2,000 feet
wide and some 45 feet deep in the channel, with a depth of 25 feet
maintaining along the waterfront.
