Repairs & Conversion

Conrad Industries specializes in the conversion and repair of steel and aluminum marine vessels. Conversion projects primarily consist of lengthening the mid-bodies of vessels, modifying vessels to permit their use for a different type of activity and other modifications to increase the cargo carrying capacity or functionality of a vessel.

Our repair facilities provide floating drydocks and bulkheaded slips for underwater and topside repairs. Drydock lifting capacities range from 900 to 10,000 tons.
Your time is money in our business, and we are committed to getting your equipment underway as quickly as possible. Our repair facilities are available to meet your needs 24 hours a day.
Our support equipment, such as crawler cranes, cherry pickers and forklifts, are available to service your project. Our sandblasting and painting departments can restore your equipment back to the condition it was built.

At Conrad Industries, our commitment to safety, quality, and competitive pricing will win your business every time!

New Construction

Conrad Industries specializes in the construction of a wide variety of steel and aluminum marine vessels for our commercial and governmental clients. We construct a variety of marine vessels, including large and small deck cargo barges, single and double hull tank barges, lift boats, push boats, towboats, offshore tugboats and offshore supply vessels.

All of our new construction projects are fabricated indoors. Conrad Industries’ indoor fabrication shops total up to 230,000 square feet of weatherproof floor area with overhead cranes. The indoor facilities provide us with a competitive advantage to meeting critical construction schedules free from weather delays.

The majority of new construction projects are performed using numerical control (NC) techniques which ensure accuracy of shapes to be assembled and reduced assembly time. Conrad Industries’ in-house engineering and computer-aided design (CAD) services are available to meet your design requirements.
